Art has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember; has always meant something to me on a variety of levels. In some instances its just for the sheer enjoyment of creating something when inspiration strikes, while other moments the art conveys what my words cannot.
While my favorite is still drawing in pencil, I also enjoy creating in art in a variety of other ways including painting and charcoal as well as writing, making jewelry, crocheting and carving.

Hello, everyone!! It has been quite a long time since I have been able to log on and I am hoping to be able to delve into all of the amazing post that I feel sure are waiting for me, but I would like to share something with you if you could spare a moment. The last few months have been a challenge for my family. My husband underwent major surgery to have a mass removed and that on top of my own issues caused me to retreat from life more than I have in quite a while. I've taken solace in art and writing to get through the days and have not deliberately walked too far outside what I needed to accomplish. Very quickly, however, I reached a point where that was just barely enough. I have, however, amazing people in my life that noticed that shift and pushed until they got in far enough to help. They gave their love, time, hugs and tissues when I needed it more than I thought I did. I am supremely thankful for all of them. So, why bring this up.... Because I think that, like many
